Rounding Off a Brilliant Year at The Square Club

With the Christmas Lunch now safely enjoyed and the last mince pie polished off, it feels like the perfect moment to pause and reflect on what has been a genuinely strong year for The Square Club.

Once again, our final lunch of the year was a reminder of what makes the club so special. A full room, plenty of conversation, good food, and that familiar Square Club buzz that only seems to grow stronger with each passing year. It was a fitting way to bring 2025 to a close.

Over the course of the year, membership has continued to grow, with a steady stream of new faces joining us around the tables. Even more encouraging has been the energy and enthusiasm members have shown in bringing guests along and introducing others to the club. That ongoing willingness to open doors and make connections is at the heart of what The Square Club is all about.

One member deserves particular recognition this year. Our Member of the Year award was presented to Katie Young of Verulam, in recognition of her outstanding commitment to the club and her efforts in inviting and welcoming a significant number of guests throughout the year. Katie’s enthusiasm perfectly reflects the spirit of the club, and we are hugely grateful for her support.

As ever, none of this happens by accident. Thanks are due to the committee, the members who quietly help things run smoothly behind the scenes, and of course everyone who attends lunches month after month and contributes to the atmosphere that makes the club what it is.

Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting and vibrant year. With strong foundations in place, a growing membership, and plenty of ideas already being discussed, there is a real sense of momentum as we head into the new year.

For now, though, it is time to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a relaxing festive break. Thank you for your continued support of The Square Club. We look forward to welcoming you back around the tables in January and building on another great year together.
